Upcoming April 15th : Bob Allen BDD Mobbing

It’s free, RSVP for this event here!

We’re not ignorant of the ongoing health situations; but we’re hopeful this will occur. If it doesn’t we’ll notify everyone long before the event.

Bob Allen is awesome and a legend. Name a better speaker than Bob to kick us off in person? Bob’s going to talk about Behavior Driven Development (BDD) – something that he’s very passionate about.

Having practiced software development since when minis were computers not cars, coded in languages as varied as assembler, Fortran, PL/1, PHP and some VB and COBOL and never once on a mainframe. In-between these adventures he managed teams, departments, and his own company (briefly).

Infected by the Agile bug in 2010 he switched from managing to actually helping. Most recently he is trying to get some developer mojo back. Getting up to speed on Java, Python, and JavaScript (which used to be small enough to learn quickly). Meanwhile he teaches TDD and pair programming by running twin monthly coderetreats (mostly): one in Ann Arbor on 2nd Saturdays, and another in Detroit on the very next day.

Canton Coders is a community of individuals that meet in Canton, Michigan and like to Code. We’ll meet the first time on Wednesday at 6:30pm at the Public Library in Canton, Michigan. (We’re not affiliated with them, Actually, we’re not affiliated with anyone. We thank American Express for extending us operating capital to host this event.)

If we meet again, it’s because there’s interest – if not that’s totally fine also. We’re really lean and laid back. Like all good meetups, this probably will spill out to a secondary location where the real conversation begins. Sign Up on event brite. See ya’ll there!
