(Virtual) Lunching and Learning is Returning

We’re excited to announce that (Virtual) Lunch and Learns are returning this fall starting October 13th. After an astounding success with the American Airlines team this summer, we have extended invitations to several industry leaders to talk about technology and activities in their space. We do this to help coders learn, with exposure to real…

Lunch & Learn: Dx @ AA (Developer Experience at American Airlines)

This summer, we want to grow coders by offering a series of powerful presentations about actual coding industry practices. As a community, we decided that lunch is a better time than 9pm on a beautiful summer night – and since the pandemic created new ways of working, we’d exploit that with our first lunch and learn. (On the west coast, it might be breakfast and learn). Regardless, we invite you to another set of free talks targeted toward individual developers. Our first talk is June 2nd, 2021 and our second is July 7th (details to follow).

Thursday Night Katas in March

This last month, Nathan Carver volunteered to lead a small group of us through the Pac-Man kata in C#. We had about 10 people the first night, which lead to a second, which lead to a third. This month, we’ll schedule it out for a month. We’ll try to code with a staff level engineer every Thursday night. Join slack.cantoncoders.org if you would like a specific topic covered.

March 2021 Calendar

This month’s feature presentation is Sylvia Fronczak as she presents the Transformation Priority Premise in Test Driven Development. We’ll also be hosting our normal lean coffees, and coding every Thursday night with a staff level developer. All event information is at events.cantoncoders.org and join our slack.cantoncoders.org for more details.
