Community of Coders Inc – My WordPress Blog

We are thrilled to be a part of such an amazing and dynamic community of coding enthusiasts! We are proud to be a community that is not driven by profit or partnerships, but rather focuses on humans and happiness.

As we continue to grow and evolve, we forecast that we will break the 1,000 participant mark on our Slack channel this year.

To ensure that our community remains positive and focused on the goal of happiness, we will be making our formal structure much more transparent so that we can increase focus on coding and happiness.

Community of Coders Inc dba “Canton Coders is a non-profit. The board is the only group that can authorize individuals to formally speak on behalf of Canton Coders and Community of Coders Inc.

Our editorial (moderation) committee will work to make sure our community guidelines are followed.

We will be forming a programming committee to focus on live events, if you are interested in contributing, please contact us.

If you think you’d like to chair committee or operate an event that aligns to our mission, please contact us.

We encourage all of our participants to invite their friends to join our community and help us protect our brand by being kind and respectful in all interactions where we mention the Canton Coders community.

Remember, it’s about you, not your employer, so if you feel like you’re here to get money from someone in the community, that’s not okay. If you’re here to pay them money, that’s awesome!  We honestly don’t care where you work and in our CoC you’re not allowed to share it.

If you’re somewhat interested in code, you’re welcome here! We are honored to have such an engaged and dedicated group of people, and we look forward to continuing to learn and grow together. Let’s make 2023 an awesome year for our community!”

Hiring managers and recruiters, it’s perfectly acceptable to share employment details to prospect employees within our Career Fairs and job channel slack.  This community would lose a lot of value, if that wasn’t possible.  Incredibly, we have not had any issue with employers and recruiters’ behavior since our inception.
